Holland Zoning Board of Appeals
Meeting Minutes
Date: June 3, 2008
Present: Sarto, Caron, Chairperson
Don Beal, Scribe
Ray Korny, Member
Todd Mayo, Associate
Ron Seaburg, Secretary
7:00 PM Sarto mentioned that the Town is on a summer schedule. Be aware that the regular hours for department operations may have changed.
7:20 PM Sarto read a letter from Peter Frei. He has paid the $165.00 dollar ZBA filing fee. The Board feels that he is paying for a process
to be heard for appealing a decision made by the Enforcement Officer concerning a decision made by a previous Board regarding the Johnson property on Stafford Road. Mr. Frei states that the ZBA must reverse, what he considers, the erroneous decision made by the Zoning Officer and issue an order to remove, dismantle, or demolish the dwelling on Lot 20, at 165 Stafford Road, as shown on a plan recorded in Book of Plans 341, page 61, at the Hampden County Registry of Deeds.
Ray Korny suggested that the Board draft a response to Mr. Frei with the help of Attorney Vincent McCaughey that would clearly explain the Board’s position.
Sarto will meet with Atty. McCaughey regarding this matter.
8:15 PM The Board initialed the Joyal plans for the ZBA files.
8:25 PM Meeting Adjourned.
CC: Building Inspector, Town Clerk, Executive Secretary, HCC, and ZBA Files.
